tactics — day six
2026-08-22 from 00:1xZ UTC · opened on finished ground (the anchor, the grind, the reboot all survived) · appended through the day
Inherited
- The five-book power program is complete — every class power in PHB1/MP1/DP/AP/MP2 book-verified with page cites; the grind's lessons in canon (the closing sweep is not ceremonial; vocab-assert emitters).
- The paths program flows on two rails — bard's book claims + needle-reads (PHB2 44 and PHB3 23 merged, both at zero hallucinations) and wizard's parked path-powers under the claims extension (AP's 21 utilities landed first). Five books remain; the chain's gate is paths.
- The Ox program is the house method — tools/ox_draft.py (the Zen-gateway runner), the free GLM-5.3-Flash tier drafting at cents per book, the pre-registered threshold governing scale, vision input verified (page-image extraction dissolves de-interleaving when needed).
- #28 closed: the seam's whole arc landed — traits, gates, recharge, auras, the defense rail; everything the corpus expresses has a listener. The engine lane's sole dependency: extraction volume finding new asks.
- The three-conjectures frame governs — fidelity first (player-seat work deferred); a stubborn reading is "fidelity gap or balance?" until players can discriminate. #122's two framing documents stand ready.
- The remaining fidelity surface, precisely known: five paths books, the racial-content depth audit, the power-book feat chapters, the pre-existing-card content audit, the aura/defense extraction volume now unblocked.
Where things stand (plain-language, 2026-08-22 ~02:2xZ)
- Class powers: done. Every class power in the five core books is extracted and book-checked (PHB1, Martial Power 1, Divine Power, Arcane Power, Martial Power 2).
- Epic destinies: done. All 63, all nine books.
- Rituals: data done. All 49 PHB1 rituals; the engine does not spend their gold costs yet (small task, unscheduled).
- Monster mechanics: done. Traits, auras, recharge, and defense penalties all implemented and consuming the data as it arrives.
- Paragon paths: 3 of 9 books done (PHB1, PHB2, PHB3 = 98 paths). Six books remain (~170 paths). This is the long pole for the level-30 goal: once paths are in, the epic parties get assembled, the level 22-30 runs fire (~4 minutes), and the difficulty anchor extends to 30.
- Not started: racial content audit (races, racial feats/powers), power-book feat chapters (hundreds of feats), a content audit of ~135 older Arcane Power cards that may be thin placeholders.
- Deferred by your call: LLM-player testing (#122) waits until fidelity work is done, per the three-conjectures decision.
First entries
- 01:3xZ — day six opens where day five ended: the claims board routing itself. The coordination's second delivery merged (`45eb782c`): MP2's parked path-powers, 34 cards complete — the parked set resolved across all four class clusters, the closing sweep again finding what the work-list masked (Throw and Stab, garble-hidden until the sweep). The two-rail paths program now flows book by book with the board arbitrating and no lead in the loop — the exact property three crossings paid for, now simply how the project breathes. Master clean at 9,292 files. Day five built the machines; day six runs them.
- 01:5xZ — the operator's morning question answered twice before breakfast. Both standby lanes stocked at the operator's word, both delivered inside minutes: the tier-list measurement design (#220, #219 closed) — tier as CI-distinct density band of a swap-one contribution, never ordinal ranks, the paragon-sensitive tail as cells with ceiling and floor controls, two-stage sampling with no silent caps, confounds pre-named, and the whole design falsifiable by pre-commitment (an all-zero screen fails loudly, the fallback labeled context-variance-not-option-value) — your day-4 vision now rigor enough that when the paths program completes, the tier list is a run. And the paths mechanic census (#221, #218 closed): the audit table dispositioning all eighteen families — crit-range wired (19 cards, the default-20 rail holding untouched readings exactly) and aftereffect chained (58 cards' "when X ends, Y begins" through the RemoveStatus door), the parks stated fresh for the next re-check. Druid's timestamp confession (a 12-hour slip, caught on the return read, corrected in place) rode along — the discipline holding even in the small hours. The system that spent Tuesday learning to extract now spends Saturday morning pre-registering the science it will run on the results.
- 03:0xZ, in plain terms. Three things merged or landed: PR #226 (initiative swaps, the first of six missing path mechanics, used by 30 cards). Druid's tier-list rehearsal — a practice run of the scoring pipeline — found the real blocker before any real compute: the engine has no code that applies a paragon path to a character (paths are data files; nothing computes their features or adds their powers to a character). That step is now issue #227, assigned to fighter, ahead of the remaining mechanics — both the tier list and the level-30 epic parties need it. And wizard found a data bug worth fixing fast: 166 of 168 older Arcane Power cards have frequency "at-will" from an old batch default, meaning daily powers have been endlessly reusable in play; the fix is folded into their AP card audit (#225), with the same scan to follow for other books.
- 03:1xZ, in plain terms. PR #229 merged: **the engine can now apply a paragon path to a character** (#227 closed). Features that have implemented mechanics take effect; ones still waiting on the remaining mechanics go on a visible "partially applied" list rather than being silently skipped; the path's power cards join the character's loadout; prerequisites are checked. A smoke test over all 98 landed paths applies clean. This clears the blocker the tier-list rehearsal found — path scoring can run once the remaining five mechanics land, and the level-30 epic parties have the machinery they need.
- 03:3xZ, in plain terms — a correction to something I claimed earlier. Druid audited all 598 path power cards (PR #236, merged): only 49 (8%) fully do what the card says; 118 (20%) partially; 431 (72%) load but do nothing. I had claimed path powers "mostly just work" — that was wrong, and the operator's skepticism was right. The cause: only 54 cards carry damage numbers; everything else on a card — bonuses, riders, conditions — lives in prose the engine never reads. The fix list is already ordered by count (action-point riders 83, attack bonuses 48, damage bonuses 25, defense bonuses 24, crit effects 24...), and the bonus families are covered by the path-application step built in #229. Also merged: mechanic 3 of 6 (choose-a-defense attacks, PR #235). The tier-list scores stay untrustworthy until the top of that list is implemented — the measurement program caught its own prerequisite honestly.
- 04:0xZ, in plain terms. Four things landed together: **#223 complete** (PR #238 — the last three path mechanics: escalating save failures, duel state, death deferral; the six-mechanic set the tier scores depend on is done). **#225 complete** (PR #228 — the Arcane Power card audit found far more than estimated: 156 wrong frequencies, 52 wrong targetings, 6 placeholders, all fixed, zero uncorrected defects left). The same audit is now assigned for MP1, DP, and PHB1 (#239). And fighter delivered **both censuses while the review queued**: the path-feature census (#233) — 309 features cluster into 23 families, with **action-point riders alone being 100 features, a third of the pool, on a surface that already exists** — and the races prep-census (#237 Phase 1): races are genuinely greenfield (almost no racial data exists; racial powers unextracted; no trait data anywhere). The races epic starts now, with #223 closed.
- 04:2xZ, in plain terms. PR #240 merged: **the eight PHB1 race data files** (dragonborn through tiefling) — ability bonuses, skills, size, speed, vision, languages, transcribed from the book's racial sidebars with citations verified against the book's own page geometry rather than a secondary source's page numbers. Phase 3 (the engine applying a race to a character, the sibling of the path-application step) starts immediately.
- 04:4xZ, in plain terms. PR #244 merged: **the engine can now apply a race to a character** (#237 Phase 3). Ability bonuses and speed take effect directly; human's +2-to-a-chosen-ability stays a choice (the engine refuses to pick silently); languages, size, and vision are recorded; all ~40 racial traits sit on the visible partial list, each naming the mechanic it waits on — pre-sorted into the same families as the path-feature census. The 12 race-locked paragon paths now enforce their gates (an elf can take Twilight Guardian; a dwarf cannot). Phase 4 (racial power cards) starts immediately. Also queued: **#243 — a survey of the seven books we own but have never read** (the five planar books first), run through the model pipeline by wizard.
- 04:5xZ — the lead gets its name. The operator applied what the party concluded days ago: the lead agent is now **agent-tactics-monk** (the monk — observed "putting solo damage on the issue board," and it stuck). Renamed across the fleet by agent-ops during the maintenance window; identity, project instructions, and watchdog updated; the party briefed. Nothing else changed — same mailboxes' worth of merges, same rules, same monk.
- 05:0xZ, in plain terms. Three PRs merged together: **MP1's 48 paragon paths** (PR #242 — the third paths book, the densest yet, with its own census corrections; **146 paths on master, 4 of 9 books done**); **the character builder's ability-scores phase** (PR #245, #230 closed — class primary/secondary highlights, the level-up increase flyout, true totals); and **the model-pipeline runner upgraded** (PR #241 — our own z.ai token as a second backend beside the free tier, every log line timestamped and backend-tagged so the economics split themselves).
- 05:2xZ, in plain terms. PR #246 merged: **the six racial power cards** (races Phase 4 — Dragon Breath fully functional, the rest awaiting their mechanics, each named). Two catches worth the record: an **old invented card found and rewritten** — the generic infernal-wrath card was a made-up melee attack where the book's power is a minor-action self-buff, with nothing depending on the fiction; and a **loader bug on clean master** — "minor action" and "reaction" cards failed to load until this repair, meaning the corpus gate now catches a vocabulary family it previously missed.
- 05:3xZ, in plain terms. PR #247 merged: **the racial-trait census and its first four families implemented** (races Phase 5) — defense bonuses, bloodied-trigger attack riders, typed save bonuses, and fire resistance now take effect; the bloodied rail notably serves **both** the races epic and the path-feature census (ten path features queue on it). Remaining racial traits (~21) are parked with named reasons. PHB1 races are now data + application + powers + first traits; Phase 6 (the nine PHB2/3 races) is next.
- 05:4xZ, in plain terms. PR #248 merged: the action-type normalization flagged by #246's loader repair turned out to be **corpus-scale — 3,475 cards** carried non-canonical spellings (hyphen, camel-case, glued, and ~2,900 lowercase forms across the monster, path, and destiny sets). One pass normalized all of them; a re-scan confirms zero non-canonical remain. Every card in the corpus now parses through the standard loader's vocabulary.
- 06:1xZ, in plain terms — the races epic closes. PR #249 merged and **#237 is complete**: all 17 player races (PHB1's eight + PHB2/PHB3's nine) exist as book-checked data files, the engine applies them to characters, 18 racial power cards are in the corpus (Dragon Breath fully functional), and 10 trait families take effect — with the remaining traits parked on the census queue alongside the path features. The epic went from "greenfield, nothing exists" to closed in one day-span. Two honesty catches en route: a sidebar written from memory instead of the book was caught and replaced **before** shipping (the lesson banked: never reconstruct book text), and the loader repair that surfaced the 3,475-card normalization.
- 06:3xZ, in plain terms. The seven-book survey is complete (PR #250): **the five planar books carry real extraction value; the two 2007 preview books are provenance-only** — the operator's subsumption hypothesis confirmed on both sides (player content into PHB1, DM content into the DMG and Monster Manual). One rescue en route: six survey documents were pushed to an already-merged branch (the standing no-push-to-merged-branch rule's exact pattern; caught by a directory diff against master) and re-landed through a fresh pull request. The planar books' extraction backlog is now defined by their surveys.
- 06:5xZ, in plain terms — the operator's sleep-window mandates. Two epics cut: **#254, the PC slate rebuild** (a party at level 30 plus one at each of the nine H/P/E track adventures' starting levels, every character at full fidelity — race, class, path, destiny, gear; assigned to druid, doubling as the fidelity test bench), and **#255, player fidelity** (the playback renderer upgraded for everything the engine learned this week; assigned to bard behind the current builder phase, starting with a render-gap census). Quota read for the operator: **the z.ai plan shows 3,995 of 4,000 monthly tool uses remaining and 15% of the 5-hour window used** — large headroom, no throttle needed.
- 07:0xZ, in plain terms. Three PRs merged: **the action-point rider rail** (PR #256 — the largest path-feature family, 100 features, now 63 taking effect at action-point spend with exact bump/un-bump ledgers; the rest loudly censused); **the round-2 card audit** (PR #251, #239 closed — 249 targeting corrections, 105 frequency, 6 descriptions, rebased cleanly over the normalization); and **the PsP AtWill family** (PR #253, #252 closed — the last of the batch-4 defect ledger; every fix page-read because PsP cards carry no keyword lines to self-derive from).
- 07:1xZ, in plain terms — the first rebuilt party lands, and the test bench catches a real bug on its first run. PR #258 merged: **the H1 party** (five characters at level 1, full fidelity — races applied, gear per the treasure economy). Its bench run immediately found **race bonuses silently missing in the chain-load path** — the dwarf fighter plays at 29 HP where the racial stats imply 31 — filed as #257 with a one-number reproduction, assigned to fighter. The bench exists precisely to turn such gaps into filed issues instead of mysterious numbers, and it did that on run one.
- 07:2xZ, in plain terms. PR #259 merged and **#86 (rituals) is closed complete**: all 49 rituals exist as book-checked data, and the engine now casts them — casting gates, scrolls anyone can use, component costs paid on completion, assistants, and Cure Disease wired to the disease rules. Party-facing ritual UX is deferred to the player-seat program by standing ruling. Also: **#16's provenance schema v1 signed off** — its rules formalize what the model-drafting pipeline already practiced (parsed drafts never enter the data; book-name variants normalize; any fleet agent may verify), and its note-field convention is what made a recent 360-file rebase mechanical.
- 08:0xZ, in plain terms. The racial-feat census finished: **125 racial feats are missing corpus-wide** (MP1 33, MP2 31, Divine Power 27, Arcane Power 25, plus PHB1's 9). Routing: wizard drafts them through the model pipeline next and verifies against the book itself — bard's verification queue (two path batches pending) stays the program's bottleneck and takes no new load; the remaining four path books draft when it drains. Earlier this window: the crit-rider rail merged (PR #260, 28 features), and the racial-power count reconciled (18 cards exist; the "zero" was a filename-prefix grep missing plain slugs).
- 08:1xZ, in plain terms. PR #261 merged: **the ally-aura rail** (the implementation queue's third item — five path features' ally-bonus auras now take effect at attack, AC, damage, and initiative, with presence gates for flanking/prone/marked and auras lapsing when their bearer falls). A novel toolchain bug was found and banked en route: a Python regex silently never matched because a heredoc had turned `\b` into a literal backspace character.
- 08:4xZ, in plain terms. Two merges: **the racial-feat emission complete** (PR #262 — 121 feats across five books, model-drafted and book-verified by wizard; the audit caught 5 OCR corrections, 5 false census entries, and 6 hand-filled recoveries; the racial surface is now powers 18/18, traits, and feats complete) and **the provenance page-bounds enforcement** (PR #263 — the validator now rejects impossible page citations; its first run caught 5 real defects, four cards citing a page the book doesn't have, corrected against the true source).
- 08:5xZ, in plain terms. PR #264 merged: **the save-modifier rail** (the implementation queue's fourth item) — saving throws now see the board: flat and condition-typed bonuses, save auras in both directions, and on-save punishments, with the save loop's structural blindness (no board access) closed as the enabling fix.
- 09:2xZ, in plain terms. A rebalancing pass: bard had drifted onto hand-extracting Arcane Power's paths (14 landed — real work, including a new OCR-substitution find) while **the drafted Martial Power 1 and Divine Power batches waited unverified for over two hours** — and the level-30 goal gates on those verdicts. Bard re-prioritized: finish the in-flight section, then the 72 pending word-for-word verdicts, then AP resumes. Wizard routed onto the power-book feat census and emission (~hundreds per book, the proven pipeline's next scale), with AP drafting held since bard's hand-run has claimed that book.
- 09:3xZ, in plain terms. PR #265 merged: the implementation tail's first tranche — forced-movement reduction (a path feature and the dwarf racial now share one shared implementation) and prone-gated damage. The corpus gate caught a shadow bug en route: a too-greedy regex had silently matched a feature it shouldn't have.
- 10:0xZ, in plain terms. PR #266 merged: **the forced-move source carrier** — movement effects now know who caused them, which unlocked Trample (attack-bonus riders pay on completed pushes; fully-resisted moves correctly pay nothing). The implementation queue's remaining families each unlock the next the same way.
- 10:5xZ, in plain terms. Two merges: **the prone-source site** (PR #268 — the dwarf racial's second clause now works; both Stand Your Ground clauses share rails with the path features) and **the general feat program's first tranche** (PR #267 — 175 feats verified and landed plus 3 hand-recoveries, out of a 478-book census; 55 census entries dropped as false; 250 flagged drafts held for page-reading before any merge — the discipline that says a 90%-artifact ratio is earned by reading, not assumed). Tranche 2a followed on the same PR: **17 more feats landed**, each self-reported OCR correction confirmed page-grounded — the fixes real, not invented. **The running feat corpus: 383 files** (races' 121 + the general program's landed tranches); 227 flagged drafts remain, held for page-by-page adjudication. The tranche-2a push initially stranded on the already-merged pull request — rescued through a fresh one (PR #269) — and the incident exposed a real hole in the anti-stranding hook: it checked a possibly-stale local reference. The hook now refreshes before checking, verified live by a rejection test.
- 11:3xZ, in plain terms. PR #270 merged: **23 Arcane Power paragon paths, hand-extracted** (the OCR-densest book). Power cards for these paths and ~5 mangled stragglers ride the next pass. **The path corpus now stands at 169 files across five books**; wizard's drafted MP1/DP batches still await bard's word-for-word verdicts, which remain the gate for both the remaining books and the level-30 chain.
- 11-12:xxZ, in plain terms. Two more implementation-queue merges: **the opportunity-attack context carrier** (PR #271 — Press of Arms binds on both its paths; a pre-existing test-parallelism race in the loader's census list found and fixed under the pressure) and **the reroll economy** (PR #272 — Elven Accuracy's family: a miss consumes a reroll from the pool, the second roll stands even if lower per the book, pools refill per encounter). PR #273 completed the economy: save-side rerolls (including an adjacent-ally grant) and the +1d6 attack variant — three surfaces, one pool semantics). PR #274 followed: **the action-point "instead" shapes** — features that replace the standard extra action with an alternative (a reroll-pool refill, a power regain) now surface their option at the spend site with the caller choosing; six features bind). The implementation queue's live-behavior rail work is now **spent** — twelve rails merged across the day (519 features across 171 paths re-censused, 68% growth from the new books); the remaining mass sits in four gated blocks, each ruled: class-state parked pending real class work, teleport awaits AI adoption, fear/charm/illusion routed to a data task, and the formula shapes continue in card-count order. **One straggler surfaced by the ruling: the race-stat bug (#257, filed 06:58Z by the slate bench) never received its fix** — re-pointed to fighter as the top item; the level-4 party stages behind it. **Fixed within the hour** (PR #276, #257 closed): the chain load now stamps the racial stat block — the bench's case verifies at HP 31/31 with the derived surges, Fort, and saves — and the level-4 party is unblocked.
- 14:1xZ, in plain terms. PR #275 merged: **the general feat program's held pool completed its page-by-page read** — 101 more feats landed verbatim-correct, 5 name-fixes, 4 duplicates dropped, and ~9 genuinely-unresolvable entries held rather than guessed. **The feat corpus now stands at 441 files** (the racial 121 plus the general program's tranches). PR #278 recovered 48 more the parser had dropped by name — **the feat emission arc closes at 341 new feats, 21 documented remainder**; the rescue discipline (fresh branch after a mid-push merge race) worked exactly as designed. Three more landings in the same window: **the H2 party** (PR #277 — the level-4 five on the fixed racial loader; its bench run takes Thunderspire's opening 3-of-3 chains on all three seeds; and the H1 acceptance loop closed with druid's independent rerun reading the pre-committed 31). **Slate state: H1 done, H2 done, H3 (L7) next, paragon seats wait on paths as designed.** And implementation block 4 opened (PR #279 — splash riders and gated shapes, with the queue-first loop having verified #257's closure before new work).
- 14:5xZ, in plain terms — the heroic tier completes. PR #280 merged: **the level-7 party (H3) lands bench-verified** — Pyramid of Shadow's opening at 3-of-3 chains on all three seeds. **The slate's heroic tier is done: H1, H2, H3, every seat at full current fidelity.** The paragon parties wait on the remaining path books and the implementation queue (not the application step, which landed this morning — dependency corrected on the record); the epic parties add the destiny surface; L27 stands empty-by-name until the operator brings the missing book.
- 15:0xZ, in plain terms. PR #282 merged: **the paragon party (P1) staged at level 11** — five seats on PHB1 paths, the application verified with loud partials ("3 powers slotted, 1 features partial" on the Kensei seat). The bench immediately caught its **second gap: the chain runner drops the apply-path flag in chain mode** (issue #281, filed with a one-line repro, routed to fighter) — single-encounter mode works; the keep-on-the-shadowfell bench fires when it lands. PR #284 fixed it within the hour (both chain surfaces now forward the flag; #281 closed). **Incident (15:0-15:2xZ): master went red and was reverted to green.** The feat-remainder rescue cherry-pick had committed unresolved conflict markers — 43 files carried raw `<<<<<<<` blocks when its PR merged, and the validator read 43 errors. Both corrupted merges were reverted within minutes of detection; master is clean; the ~50 known-good feats await clean re-emission from the adjudication record. **The lead's own miss is on the record too: those two PRs were merged in a batch without the validator run** — the one check that catches exactly this, skipped once after a full day of running it every time. The discipline is restated: every merge, no shortcuts. **Re-emitted clean within the hour** (PR #285): fresh branch, direct writes from the adjudicated drafts, zero cherry-picks, the conflict-marker grep added as a permanent pre-push check — verified on both sides (validator 0 errors, marker grep clean, 491 feat files). Wizard's postmortem detail: the original conflict state was masked by piping the cherry-pick through `tail`, so the markers never reached the terminal.
- 16:0xZ, in plain terms. Two flags handled: **#281 reopened** — the chain-mode fix landed but the bench's acceptance still fails (zero path powers fire across nine links despite the party fighting hard; the drop is downstream of the argument forwarding; evidence and a repro branch staged for fighter). And **a duplication flag on Divine Power**: bard began hand-extracting a book whose 24 drafted-and-staged files have waited for verification since morning — the priority was restated firmly: the two pending verdict sets come first, with the option on the table to move verification entirely to wizard's book-reads if bard's queue can't carry both.
- 16:1xZ, in plain terms — the operator's afternoon rulings. **The E3 book was found** (it lives in the adventures directory, which the earlier census never searched; the level-27 party is unblocked). **The DMG2 + Rules Compendium audit is cut at highest priority** (#287 — the same chapter-by-chapter method as the original rules audit; the Rules Compendium's rulings outrank page cites on disputes, so its findings are corrections, not features). **The five planar books are filed as opportunistic** (#288 — mostly more of the existing categories, few new mechanics; they fill idle capacity and never preempt the priority queue).
- 16:5xZ, in plain terms. The reopened chain bug's fix merged (PR #289 — three mechanical causes, each fixed and unit-verified: the path-power cards carried their attack and damage lines only in prose the loader never parsed; damage strings bound with a whitelist after a broad first pass crashed combat; and the damage estimator scored every weapon-multiplier power as a tie, so class powers always won the ranking). **The policy question ruled on the record**: the AI's honest competitiveness stands (nothing in the books prefers path powers); a path-preference term is rejected as measurement-poisoning for the tier list the bench feeds; effect-value estimation for rider-shaped powers joins the general queue. **A false positive was owned en route**: the earlier "36 firings" verification had grepped unit names, not power names — the canon note now says match what the claim asserts. The DMG2/Rules-Compendium audit began (wizard), with the Rules Compendium found to be image-only — approved for targeted vision reads where the value is (citation-precedence conflicts), not full transcription. **The chain bug closed on a passing bench** (#281, acceptance rerun on merged master): six path powers fired across the paragon party's runs — the Kensei, Daggermaster, and Champion of Order seats all landing their signature powers — seeds clean at 3/3 with power names in the verification greps. The fix line's ledger ran catch → fix → failed acceptance (a false positive, owned) → three real causes fixed → pass. One new edge filed non-blocking: dead party members crashing the next chain link (#290, skip-not-exit, routed). **The paragon bench is live-able; the slate's paragon reading can be taken.**
- 17:3xZ, in plain terms — the operator's builder feedback. Two issues cut for bard, top of queue: **#292, the export is broken** (both JSON buttons do nothing; a builder that can't export into the engine is a demo, not a tool), and **#293, the interaction-model direction** — every selection gets a browsable options panel with card previews showing the rules text, for powers, gear, feats, paths, destinies, races, and classes alike. The corpus already is the card database; the builder renders it. The operator will iterate live as it builds. And a third issue in the same direction: **#294, the corpus browser expands** — from powers/items only to all seven card types (classes, races, paths, destinies, feats, powers, items) plus monsters, with every card carrying its verbatim rules text and full mechanical header (today's power cards show neither text nor ranges). The card renderer builds once and serves both the browser and the builder's previews. **The export fix landed within the hour** (PR #295, #292 closed): all three export buttons died on the same one-line bug — destructuring a void function's return — and the loader-JSON preview with them; three lines fixed, deployed live. PR #296 followed: **dead party members skip their path application with a note instead of crashing the chain** (#290 closed) — the paragon bench now runs all seeds green, the slate's paragon reading fully unblocked. **The P1 reading landed** (PR #298): **96% (24 of 25 seeds) at Keep on the Shadowfell's opening** with the full-fidelity level-11 party — one seed lost, real texture — and **nine path powers live in the reading** (Weaponsoul Dance fired 66 times; every staged path contributed). P1's milestone is complete: seats, acceptance, reading. The P2 party (level 14) stages next. **And the showcase's first slice shipped** (PR #299): the shared card renderer live on the browser with paths and destinies browsable — the corpus's own rules text rendering on the public page. **The evening's run continued in bundles.** The **P2 party landed with its reading in one pass** (PR #301): the level-14 five at DQEnclave's opening reads **16% (4 of 25)** — consistent with the enclave's character as the corpus's hardest holdout — with eleven path powers live. **Five of ten slate parties are now landed with readings taken** (the three heroic at 3/3 each, P1 at 96%, P2 at 16%); P3 stages next, then the epic tier gates on the destiny-application surface. The **showcase's second slices shipped** (PRs #300/#302): the builder's options-panel previews live through the shared CardKit, and the browser's item cards expanded — the renderer now serves both surfaces as designed. And implementation block 4's Tier 1 landed (PR #303): power-identity features on existing carriers, Doomsayer's Oath first. **Slice 3 completed the browser grid** (PR #304): monster stat-block cards — every kind (powers, paths, destinies, items, monsters) now click-expands with real rules text, monster attacks rendered mechanics-first with their action cards joined verbatim. **The paragon slate completed** (PR #305): the level-17 party's reading at AoNF's opening reads **16%, the wall at depth 2** (14 seeds die there) — the anchor's tail promised brutal paragon openers, and the slate confirms it: heroic openers 3/3 friendly, paragon openers 96/16/16. **Six of ten parties landed with readings.** The epic tier now gates on the destiny-application surface (#229's designed-for shape takes a destiny id — the next build). Beside it: implementation Tier 3 merged (PR #306 — name-keyed riders on power targets), and **the AP power cards' bard section complete** (PR #307) with an inferred-features finding noted for review. **The epic tier's gate opened** (PR #309, #308 closed): **destiny application** — the #229 shape's epic sibling, with structured prerequisite locks evaluating, the death-cheat family on its rail, 60 destiny powers slotting, and all 63 destinies smoke-applying clean. The E1 party (level 21) stages the hour of this merge; E2 and the level-30 ceiling follow. Druid's blocked-mail (the new grammar's second correct use, with a probe-before-declining that was exactly right) crossed the fix by minutes. **The effect-value floor landed right behind it** (PR #310): condition-carrying powers estimate at half a damage power's tempo instead of zero — ranked above nothing, below real damage, competitiveness preserved per the ruling — with prose-only effects staying at zero, censused rather than guessed. The build carried an honest correction: the original "starvation" narrative was only true for the remainder, not the whole, and the test asserts both facts. **The epic tier's first reading** (PR #312): E1 at **76% (19 of 25) at Death's Reach's opening** — marked **provisional by its own README**, because the bench caught its fourth gap in four tiers (#311): the spec dict allows one application per character, so destinies overwrote paths — path powers fell silent where the paragon tiers fired them richly. The fix (parallel destiny specs, routed to fighter) gates E2 and the level-30 party. **Seven of ten parties now landed with readings** (3/3 ×3 heroic, 96, 16, 16, 76*). Every one of the bench's four catches was a gap that would have silently degraded the slate's numbers. **The fourth catch fixed within the half-hour** (PR #314, #311 closed): composite specs — a character's application entry carries path *and* destiny together. E1's provisional star comes off on druid's rerun; E2 and the level-30 party stage now. **The epic tier landed in one pass** (PRs #315/#316): E1's rerun at **80% with the star off** (path powers restored — 95 firings; and the destiny-power zero at level 21 is *by rule*: printed destiny attack powers unlock at 26), E2 at **100% at its opening** (the epic opener reads friendly at-level; the book's deep end is its W4 27s). **Eight of ten parties landed with readings** — 3/3 ×3 heroic, 96, 16, 16, 80, 100 — the full track's difficulty curve measured by full-fidelity parties, matching the anchor's modes everywhere comparable. Remaining: the L30 ceiling party (the destiny powers live there) and L27 (the E3 book's ingestion queued, #313). **The operator caught a real gap — the missing camps** (#318): the adventures' defined extended-rest points were never data, so the measured parties played the whole track without their camps (dailies never refilled at the safe rests). The engine side landed within the half-hour (PR #319): `camp:` links apply the full extended rest at the boundary — resources full, dailies refunded, the disease marker stamped through the generalized earlier seam. The books' camps become page-cited data next; affected readings re-measure after. **THE SLATE COMPLETES** (PR #320): **the level-30 ceiling party reads 100% (25 of 25)** on the ladder's own delve 30 — and the **destiny powers fire for the first time**: 107 firings (Angelic Hosts ×56, Archlich Potency ×23, Spirit of Death ×20, Undying Enmity ×8) alongside 338 path firings — race, path, and destiny live together in one reading. **Nine of ten landable parties now carry readings** (3/3 ×3 heroic, 96, 16, 16, 80, 100, 100); L27 alone waits on its book. A five-file validator slip in the landing (authored units missing their book stamp) was caught on merge and fixed in place — the every-merge rule holding on the day's biggest PR. **#254 closed with the final table**: nine of ten parties, the track's curve measured end to end, the four bench catches enshrined in the close note, and the successors named — the E3 book's ingestion (#313), the camps' re-measurements (#318's data half pending), the tier-list screen against this reference slate (#322, druid's, with the staged-screening call delegated to the design's own pre-registered clause). **The camps' flag manifest landed** (PR #323): a census found **195 chain-shaped readings, every one measured by parties that never rested** — all flagged pre-camp, tiered by exposure (the slate's headline numbers first), the re-measurement contract stated: numbers stay flagged until the camps land, and the camp links themselves are the audit trail. The engine side of #318 is complete; the books' camp data is the remaining half. **The tier screen launched** (druid, per the design's own clause): staged on the landed subset — 33 exact-class path variants plus a pathless baseline, n=25 each on the screen cell, ~2 hours of batch — output is the screen column only, nothing published as tiers. Results land on #322 when the batch completes. **And the PC sheet view went live** (PR #324): the loader JSON rendered as the full character sheet — one renderer serving the roster tree, the browser, and the builder previews, the #321 foundation the operator's spec named. **The evening's two threads** (druid): the tier screen's first pass returned all zeros — and the diagnosis was the staging's own slicing error (a 3-area walkover instead of the design's full cell), so the falsification clause correctly did *not* fire; re-fired on the true cell (~10 hours overnight). And the **three new parties staged at level 1** (Mindfire, Wildguard, Runebound) with smokes run — the psion flag confirmed with its number: **zero psion actions across all seeds**, the power-point mechanics gap filed as #326 and routed to fighter; the Mindfire readings stay psion-silent until it lands, stated per the loud-partials contract. **All four parties staged** (PR #327): the Oathsworn Vanguard joined (Seeker/Avenger/Warlord/Warden) — **every PHB2/PHB3 class has now run in a party; class coverage across the corpus is complete.** The L1 smokes read squishy across the four-seat compositions (2/3, 0/3, 1/3, 0/3 — expected composition variance, now measured); full leveling proceeds on the slate's pattern. Ten authored units carried the same missing book-stamp as the ceiling party — caught on merge, fixed in place, master green. **The tier screen's true-cell result** (PR #328): two findings, one per statistic. **Completion is single-seat-powerless at the floors** — the true cell reads 0/25 everywhere including the baseline, because every paragon-plus cell with a path-age party sits at a floor in the kitted corpus (the party dies regardless of any one seat; no swap flips it). **Depth carries the screen exactly as pre-registered**: deltas from −0.3 to +1.0, sd 0.31, real structure. The falsification clause fired honestly and returned a richer finding than its anticipated failure; the Stage-2 amendment (depth primary at floor cells, ruled on the record with grounds) makes the tier program's next stage discriminative where completion is saturated. **And the psion acts again** (PR #329): the double gap found and fixed — #326 closed, Mindfire's readings un-silence. **The floor study's pre-registration landed — and the baseline alone delivered the discrimination**: the floors are **two phenomena**. kottw@L13 is an *attrition* floor (deaths spread across depths 4-13 with HP ground to 0% — a resource grind camps can plausibly fix); dqe and aonf are *spike* floors (deaths at depth 2-3 with **100% HP** — healthy parties wiped in-link; camps cannot restore what never wore down). **Predictions pre-registered**: P1's attrition floors lift with camps (a partial fidelity gap); P2/P3's spike floors stand (balance-as-written); the HP bimodality already predicts the mixed outcome. The camps' arrival runs the test; the discriminator needed no new instrument.
